A blog tour coming

Next week some dear writing friends will be helping to launch my new book!

I'll post over the weekend with the websites and dates.

So it's kept me very busy writing blog posts about all kinds of processes and even defining what makes a good poem according to me!

I also need to craft and found some amazing old patterns in an op shop recently.

I like to be creative on all levels.

Crafting while writing

I am a serious fan of pinterest and love choosing projects to sew for grandchildren and friends- always with my own spin.
BUT a New years's resolution is to replace pins, cotton, felt, clutter with writing clutter on my favourite desk.

Here yesterday's quick project( thanks Kel for the eye pin) a gift for my grand daughter's 4 year old birthday party this week.

A seriously satisfying use of materials in my stash for a horse mad grand daughter!

I found the idea here.

I hope soon to put the pinterest logo on my page and you can follow my boards!  Love the writing ideas I have pinned also.  Meanwhile back to the desk declutter- a satisfying sounding word too.

Could it be summer?

Summer and count down to Christmas.  I don't need any reminders about Christmas- that's evident in the commercial world- but what about the summer world?
This young blue tail lizard tells me the day is hot.

And to beat the commercialism I've been busy creating - small gifts from my craft room, from my garden.  These sachets are an adaptation of my aunt's crafting a few years ago.

I've made about twenty of them for MOPS mums- I'm the mentor mum every Thursday- a challenge and a privilege- next week it's our Christmas break-up.

Any one else making gifts for Christmas?

Tomorrow I'm posting the first of a new feature- a book review( of course children's and Australian)
