Nice to Lyon and the town of St.Paul's

We liked Nice- the walk along the esplanade of an evening was special- families, tourists out walking- it warm warm to hot.

We stopped at a parfumeur- Fragonard- very interesting and again lots of bus loads of tourists.  We all smelt delicious for a short time on a sweaty and warm day.
An optional tour was the small fortress village of St.Paul's just out of Nice- truly French provence- we loved the short time we had there- very old steps, alley ways and tiny shops.

Fountains, alley ways.
And the view from the top of the fortress was wonderful.  The bus had to park outside the vilage- walking was the way.  Artists such as Chagall lived here.
I want to go back and explore another day- or take up residency for awhile to write.
