Speaking about passion
Passion as in the desire of one's heart- writing of course!
Last Sunday I was privileged to be invited to be the guest speaker at the Furphy Literary awards in Shepparton- at the library. Many young and older writers were present.
Dignitaries, judges( of whom I knew three) and myself as the guest speaker- retelling a precis of a passionate journey to publication was a thrill- it also sorts out for me, perspective both in the past and goals for the future. Well done to all shortlisted writers and of course winners and to the Furphy foundation as sponsor of these awards.
